Onshore Wind & Solar PV Development Manager – Munich, Germany

Our client is a fast-growing international Independent Power Producer (IPP), actively developing, acquiring, financing, constructing, and operating onshore wind and solar PV projects across multiple markets, including Germany. With a strong technical platform and rigorous asset management approach, they are committed to accelerating the global energy transition.

 

The Role:

As an Onshore Wind & Solar PV Development Manager, you will take a leading role in developing renewable energy projects across Germany. You will be responsible for identifying and securing project opportunities, managing permitting processes, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to bring projects to financial close.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure suitable sites for onshore wind and solar PV projects.
• Manage land acquisition, lease agreements, and permitting processes.
• Develop strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and grid connection requirements.
• Work closely with technical, legal, and financial teams to progress projects efficiently.
• Support project financing and investment processes.
• Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and risks.

 

Requirements:

• Proven experience in onshore wind and/or solar PV project development in Germany.
• Strong knowledge of permitting regulations, land acquisition processes, and renewable energy frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with municipalities, landowners, and regulatory bodies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of an international team.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
• A background in renewable energy, engineering, environmental sciences, or related fields is preferred.
