Our client are dedicated to leading the renewable energy sector with cutting-edge solar solutions. Their focus on sustainability and innovation drives them to deliver high-performance solar energy projects. They are expanding the operations team in Berlin and are looking for a dedicated Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of their solar assets.

Position Overview: The Solar O&M Manager will be responsible for managing the operations and maintenance activities of their solar power plants. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background in solar energy systems and excellent management skills. The successful candidate will ensure that their solar facilities operate at peak efficiency, maintaining high standards of performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar PV plants, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Develop and implement O&M strategies, policies, and procedures to maximize system efficiency and lifespan.
• Monitor system performance using SCADA and other monitoring tools, analyzing data to identify and resolve issues.
• Coordinate and manage O&M teams, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Conduct regular site inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions as required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and manage O&M budgets, forecasts, and reports.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in solar O&M.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance of solar PV systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, including inverters, modules, and balance of system components.
• Proven experience in managing O&M teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in O&M software and tools, such as SCADA systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
